Xiping Street

Xiping street is the seat of the people's Government of Songyang county and the political, economic and cultural center of Songyang county. It is located in the southeast of Songgu basin, 68 km from Liandu District in the East and 121 km from Jinhua City in the northeast. With convenient transportation, S222 provincial road runs through the territory, and Longli Expressway integrates Songyang into the four hour economic circle of Zhejiang Province.

With a total area of 104 square kilometers, the street has jurisdiction over 6 communities and 52 administrative villages, with a total population of 57111.

Street introduction

In 2005, the total output value of industry and agriculture was 1.184 billion yuan, including 157 million yuan of agricultural output value, 1.027 billion yuan of industrial output value, 24.5 million yuan of tax revenue and 3496 yuan of per capita income of farmers. Xiping mountain is not only endowed with excellent natural conditions, but also a millennium old town with a history of more than 1100 years. Songyin River, a tributary of Oujiang River, passes through the city. In the West and south of the city, there are scenic spots such as "watching the pines and watching the sun", "the fairy track of stalagmites", "bailenyunfeng", "shuangtongxuexue" and "Shikong waterfall". Two kilometers west of the city, there is a "Yanqing temple tower" which was built in the Northern Song Dynasty and is now a national key cultural relic. Xiping is the birthplace of Zhang Yuniang, one of the four female poets in the Song Dynasty, and the existing historical relic Ying Tsuzuka. Xiping's economy and society have made great progress. After the reform and opening up, economic and social undertakings have developed rapidly. They have been successively rated as Donghai pearl cultural town, Shanhua Town, industrial town, Municipal Education Town, and municipal civilization Town in Zhejiang Province.
