Yuanyuan Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Pingle County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the southeast of Pingle County, adjacent to Qingtang Town, Zhongshan County, Hezhou City in the East, Zouma Township, Zhaoping County, Hezhou City in the southeast, South and southwest, Yangan Township and Qinglong Township in the West and northwest, and Tong'an town in the north, with a total area of 307.52 square kilometers. In the Republic of China, it was Jinhua Township, Tongyuan Township, Zhuluo Township and guying township. In 1984, it was renamed Yuanyuan town. By the end of 2017, the total number of households in Yuanyuan town is 16845, with a total population of 53358, with a natural population growth rate of 5.31 ‰; most of the residents in the town are Han people, as well as Zhuang, Yao, Miao, Dong, Hui and other ethnic minorities; by the end of 2019, it has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 18 administrative villages, and the town government is located in Dongfeng Street.
In 2017, the total social investment in fixed assets of Yuanyuan town was 62.102 million yuan; the per capita net income of farmers was 11152 yuan; there were 129 enterprises in the town, including 108 industrial enterprises with 1026 employees at the end of the year; there were 3 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size with 460 employees.
History of construction
In the Republic of China, it was Jinhua Township, Tongyuan Township, Zhuluo Township and guying township.
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, in February 1950, the working committee of Yuanyuan district was established; in September of the same year, it was called Pingle District 7.
In January 1958, Yuanyuan commune was established in September of the same year.
In March 1960, it was divided into Yuanyuan commune and Gaolong commune. Yuanyuan commune and Yuanyuan farm co operated.
In July 1961, Zhuluo commune and guying commune were added; in July of the next year, Gaolong commune, Zhuluo commune and guying commune were removed, and the source area was merged.
In April 1969, it was changed into a commune.
In 1984, it was renamed Yuanyuan town.
