Lingtian town

Lingtian Town, a town under the jurisdiction of Lingchuan County, Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is located in the east of Lingchuan County and the northeast of Guilin City, bordering Xing'an County in the East, Lingchuan Town, Sanjie town and Guilin City in the west, Dawu town in the South and Xing'an County in the North, with a total land area of 250 square kilometers. During the Ming Dynasty, Lingchuan County was divided into four townships, Xinyi Township and urban and rural areas. In December 2012, Lingtian moved from township to town. By the end of 2019, Lingtian town has a total population of 62000 people (including 28000 teachers and students in Huajiang campus of Guilin University of Electronic Science and Technology); there are Zhuang, Yao, Miao and other ethnic minorities, under the jurisdiction of one community and 10 administrative villages, and the town government is stationed in lingtianwei.

In 2017, Lingtian town completed financial revenue of 23.37 million yuan, fixed asset investment of 746.87 million yuan and investment promotion of 360 million yuan. In 2018, there were 109 industrial enterprises in Lingtian Town, one of which was above scale.

History of construction

During the Ming Dynasty, Lingchuan County was divided into four townships, Xinyi Township and urban and rural areas.

In the Qing Dynasty, the county was divided into seven capitals, four capitals and five capitals. In the second year of Xuantong (1910), the county was divided into seven districts, one district (Zhisuo, now sanjieji town) and five districts (Zhisuo, lingtianwei).

In the 21st year of the Republic of China (1932), the county was reorganized into three administrative regions: Northeast region, northwest region and South region. The jurisdiction belongs to northeast region. Beishaoqiao village was set up by the district office, and it was soon moved to Ludi village. In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), the county was set up as a township, 25 townships were set up, and three townships were set up in the jurisdiction: Zhenyi Township, jinshidong village by the Township Office; Lingtian Township, lingtianwei by the Township Office; Xiehe Township, township office Shangli village was set up; in July 1942, 25 townships in the county were adjusted to 14 townships, and 2 townships were set up in the area under its jurisdiction: Lingtian Township, with the Township Office unchanged; Xiehe township was merged with Zhenyi Township, called Zhenyi Township, with the Township Office in jinshidong village.

On November 22, 1949, Lingchuan County was liberated. In December of the same year, Lingchuan County was divided into eight districts, which were called Lingtian district. The district authorities were stationed in lingtianwei.

In August 1951, it was renamed District 6.

In June 1954, Lingchuan County was abolished, and its administrative region was incorporated into Lingui county. Lingtian District, Lingchuan County, was the 16th district in the list.

In December 1957, the district was withdrawn to set up a township, and the jurisdiction was renamed Lingtian township.

In September 1958, the township was withdrawn and the people's commune was established. The jurisdiction was called Lingtian people's commune, and the organ was still stationed in lingtianwei.

In May 1961, 10 production brigades, namely Silian, zhaifang, Dijin, Dounan, Zhengyi, Heping, Datong, Jinzhu, zhaiqing and Qiutian, were set up in the area, and the people's commune of Silian was established, with the organ stationed in huanghuaping village.

On March 27, 1962, the State Council approved the restoration of the organizational system of Lingchuan County, and the jurisdiction was called Lingtian people's Commune and Silian people's commune of Lingchuan County. In August of that year, the commune was changed into a district, the Silian people's Commune and Lingtian people's commune were abolished, and Lingtian district was established, and the district organs were stationed in lingtianwei.

In May 1966, the district was withdrawn and the people's commune system was restored. The district was called Lingtian people's commune.

In October 1984, the people's commune system was abolished, and Lingtian township was established, with its office location unchanged.

In December 2012, Lingtian moved from township to town.
