Linxi township is located in the north of Sanjiang County, 31 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to Ganxi Township, Longcheng Town, Pingtan Township and yatunbu town of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County in Hunan Province in the East, North and northwest, and to Guyi town and Bajiang Township in the South and southwest. It is 36 kilometers away from Tongdao County in Hunan Province. It is located in the center of Baili Dong township.

The total area is 144.47 square kilometers, including 1013.33 hectares of cultivated land, 11673.1 hectares of forest land, and 77.5% of forest coverage, including 2133.33 hectares of Camellia oleifera forest and 605 hectares of tea planting area.
