In December 2015, Qili Town, Zixing City, Hunan Province, merged with Tuanjie Yao township to establish a new Huilongshan Yao Township, named after Huilongshan.

Huilongshan Yao nationality township is located in the north of Zixing City, adjacent to zhoumensi town in the East, Xingning town and Sandu town in the south, liaojiang town in the west, Huangni town and Liyutang town in Yongxing County in the north. The township has 17 villages (Baishu, Zhushu, Nanying, Taoyuan, Wushi, Gaopo, Maoping, Xiangyuan, Dashu, Qili, Erfeng, Banlong, Bini, Pingmo, Tuanjie, Shenao, shuangkeng) and 2 communities Neighborhood committee (Qili, Tuanjie), with a total area of 129.65 square kilometers (2017), and a total population of 11280 people (2017).

Qili town

Qili Town, belonging to the Second District in 1949, set up Gaopo Township in 1956, changed to Liaoshi commune in 1958, changed to Qili commune in 1961, changed to township in 1984, established the town in 1993, and merged with Tuanjie Yao township to form Huilongshan Yao Township in 2015.

Tuanjie Yao Township belongs to two districts in 1949, Liaoshi commune in 1958, Dongjiang city in 1959, Tuanjie commune in 1962, Tuanjie Yao commune in 1981, Tuanjie Yao Township in 1984, and Huilongshan Yao Township in 2015.

Huilongshan is located in the Yao nationality township of Huilongshan in the north of Zixing City, with an altitude of 1480 meters and a total area of 16 square kilometers. It combines more than 2000 years of religious history and culture with the simple Yao customs and culture, and integrates majestic, magnificent, smart and magical. The ancient Huilong Temple on the top of Huilong mountain is called "ancient Nanyue". According to textual research, it was once the birthplace of Nanyue religious culture. The magic legend of Huilong mountain and the extraordinary temples have attracted many tourists. The ancients said: "the temple is not tall and broad, there are immortals will show.". Huilongshan used to be a holy place for immortals to visit. It is said that praying for blessings in ancient temples is very effective. As a result, more and more people came and went, and more and more monks came and went. Later, Huilongshan temple could not accommodate many monks, so some monks went to Nanyue to develop. There, the temple was rebuilt, the Mahavira hall and Buddha statues were set up for visitors to see, and the incense became prosperous. The monks in Nanyue miss Huilongshan very much, saying that the prosperity of Nanyue is inseparable from Huilongshan's immortals. Therefore, every year on the third day of March, they go back and forth to Longshan to "seek their ancestors.". Therefore, people call Huilongshan "ancient Nanyue". According to legend, Emperor Yan built a temple on the auspicious day when he returned to Longshan to worship heaven. By the Eastern Han Dynasty, it had integrated Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism. The main god "Nanyue emperor" in the temple is the incarnation of Emperor Yan. In 751 ad, wuliangshou Buddha also began his path of becoming a Buddha in Huilong Temple. in the scenic spot, huilongwangri, Centenary azalea, thousand year old road, deep valley, mysterious ancient temple, high mountain fairyland, sea of clouds, primitive vegetation, wild tea forest and the simple and complete customs of Yao people are the scenic spots that have attracted mountaineering sightseeing for thousands of years. The traffic is convenient, 90 minutes away from Beijing Zhuhai Expressway and 50 minutes away from Dongjiang Lake scenic spot. There are wonders on Huilong mountain. On the west side of the top of Huilong mountain, there is a huge "pyramid" which is indistinctly integrated with the mountains in the distance. It is like a 200 meter long and 100 meter high hill. After careful observation, we found that it was just an illusory shadow. After about 10 minutes, the huge "pyramid" slowly disappeared with the rising of the sun. Mirage phenomenon generally appears in coastal and desert areas. Mirage appears on the high mountains of Zixing city with an altitude of more than 1000 meters, which can be called a spectacle. According to a layman disciple of huilongxian temple, from September to October every year, as long as the weather is fine, you can see this spectacle. When you climb back to Longshan, you must not miss the Huilong wangri. Huilong wangri is one of Zixing's eight ancient sceneries. Huilongguan sunrise is better than Hengshan sunrise, which is a wonder in southern Hunan. Back to the top of Longshan mountain, you can see Jinggangshan in the East, Qitianling in the west, and Dongjiang Lake in the south. From the southeast, you can see Bamianshan, the main peak of which is 2042 meters high, while from the Northeast you can overlook the mausoleum of Emperor Yan.
