Tanshui town is subordinate to Yangchun City, Guangdong Province. It is located in the south of Yangchun City, with a total area of 228 square kilometers (in 2017), and a cultivated area of 63000 mu, including 51000 mu of paddy field and 54000 mu of dry land.
