Dengyun town

Dengyun town is located in the southeast of Longchuan County, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, with a total area of 70.38 square kilometers (2017), including 10300 mu of cultivated land and 79300 mu of forest land. It has jurisdiction over 1 neighborhood committee, 7 village committees and 199 villager groups, with a total population of 16186 (2017), and is an old revolutionary base town.

geographical environment

Dengyun town is located in the southeast of Longchuan County, Guangdong Province. The whole town is surrounded by low hills with a slope of about 30 degrees, with a large area of flat land in the middle, which is like a "cornucopia"; in the southeast of the town, there is Languan, one of the seven famous passes in Guangdong Province, which guards the northeast of Guangdong Province; in the northwest of the town, there are nearly 10000 square meters of human life sites in the late Neolithic era.

mineral resources

Mineral resources are rich, mainly limestone, white sand and gold. Among them, Shifu village and Shuangqiao Village are rich in limestone reserves with good quality. They can burn lime to make high-quality cement, compound powder and stone rice.

Hydropower resources

There are abundant hydropower resources in the town. Heshi River, a tributary of Hanjiang River, passes through the town. There are also two waterworks built in the town, which can supply water for 50000 people's production and living. Shilaikou hydropower station with an installed capacity of 4000 kwh is built in the town. There are small hydropower stations with a capacity of 500 kwh in the towns and villages. There are 10500 volt substations built in the town. The power grid is dense, and the hydropower resources are extremely rich.

Rich in agricultural products: the town has always been a grain and fruit production base, with three thousand mu high-quality rice production demonstration bases; a 5000 mu fruit base (mainly planting Naili and seedless persimmon); an agricultural leading enterprise (mainly raising pigs and fish); and a county fruit processing plant.

Industrial Park Construction: there are three industrial parks in the town, of which Languan Industrial Park has been put into use; Daping Industrial Park (205 road side) has completed 100000 square meters of "three links and one leveling" work, waiting for enterprises to enter; the nearly kilometer industrial corridor of expressway interchange is under construction.

National Highway 205, which connects Meizhou in the East and Huizhou in the west, runs across the town; it is only 15 km away from Longchuan railway station, the largest freight marshalling station in South China; Meizhou Heyuan expressway, which was opened in 2005, passes through four villages of the town, and an interchange is set up in Daping of Xinjie village to connect with national highway 205; Zhangshi highway, which is opened by the town, connects the north and the south, and most of the village roads are hard bottomed.
