Niudu town is located 5 kilometers south of Linyi County in Shanxi Province, adjacent to Miaoshang, Yishi and chuhou towns, Yuncheng City in the South and Yongji City in the West. It covers an area of 75.5 square kilometers. Niudu town has a total of 24 administrative villages and 39 natural villages, with a permanent population of 31107 (in 2017), and a total of 98000 mu of cultivated land. Niudu town has developed agriculture and has been a grain and cotton producing area since ancient times. The total yield and contribution of wheat and cotton account for one tenth of the county.
