Baituyao Township, belonging to Guyuan County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, is located in the west of Guyuan County, adjacent to xiaohezi Township in the southeast, xixinying Township in the south, huanggainao town in the southwest, Taipusi Banner in the northwest and gaoshanpu Township in the northeast. It is 27 kilometers away from Guyuan County People's government, with a total area of 257.79 square kilometers.
In 1948, baituyao Township belonged to the Fifth District of Baoyuan County; in 1984, it was changed from baituyao commune to baituyao township. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of Bai Tu Yao township was 16189. As of June 2020, baituyao township has 14 administrative villages, and the Township People's government is located in baituyao new village.
