Xinwujiang town is located at the easternmost end of Yingdong District, facing Yingshang County and Lixin County across the Bay in the East, kouzi town and Zaozhuang town in the west, Yanglou town in the South and Laomiao town in the north. The town covers an area of 64 square kilometers, with a permanent resident population of 46627 (2017).
