Baxiangshan town

Baxiangshan Town, subordinate to Fengshun County, Meizhou City, Guangdong Province, is located in the southwest of Fengshun County, Jieyang in the south, Wuhua in the west, 28km away from Fengshun County, 49km away from Wuhua County, and 120km away from Meizhou city. The total area of the town is 193.62 square kilometers. As of June 2020, eight townships had 15 administrative villages and 21 thousand registered residence.

Baxiangshan town has Yunjuan Gorge (baxiangshan gorge), hongtuzhang, the second highest peak in eastern Guangdong, high frequency TV station in eastern Guangdong, thousand mu reservoir, ten thousand mu green tea garden, Jianshan, tiantangan, Guangshan temple, wenchangci, East Jiangsu Vier memorial hall, etc.

Historical evolution

In 1973, the people's commune of baxiang was divided into shangbaxiang and xiabaxiang communes.

In 1979, the people's commune of Shangba Township governed eight brigades, namely, Da Yinhe, Xi Tan, Su Ping, Jian Shan, Long Ling, Wan Wei, Chan Lian and Gao Ji. The people's commune of Xiaba township (commune stationed in Xi tan) governed twelve brigades, namely, Xiao Xi, Tan Xia, Jiu Liang, Xia Ma, Shang Ma, GUI Ren, Zhang Shan, Qiang Zhu, Da Zhu, coarse stone, Yan Shen and Fang Ji.

In December 1983, Shaxiao people's commune was established and the district office was established.
