Sandaoqiao Town, belonging to Hangjinhou banner, Bayannaoer City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the middle of Hangjinhou banner and the hinterland of Hetao Plain, bordering Shanba town in the East, Erdaoqiao town in the south, Shuangmiao town in the West and Shahai town in the north. It covers an area of 120.55 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of three road and Bridge registered residence was 17932.

In 1922, Micang county was established and its administrative office was located in sandaoqiao town. In 1958, sandaoqiao commune was established. In 1985, the township was removed and the town was built. In 2001, dashuwan township was merged into sandaoqiao town. In 2005, three villages in Nanqu Township and two villages in Shahai Township were assigned to sandaoqiao town. As of June 2020, sandaoqiao town has jurisdiction over one community and eight administrative villages.

In 2018, sandaoqiao town has 14 industrial enterprises and 23 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

Historical evolution

In 1649, sandaoqiao town was assigned to the right wing rear banner of Ordos.

In 1922, Micang county was established and its administrative office was located in sandaoqiao town.

In 1958, sandaoqiao commune was established.

In 1984, the society changed to the countryside.

In 1985, the township was removed and the town was built.

In 2001, dashuwan township was merged into sandaoqiao town.
