Tieying town

Tieying town is located 6 kilometers southeast of Leling City. The town government is located in Xinglong community, which governs 16 villages and 6 communities with a total population of 27185 (2017) and a total area of 74.24 square kilometers. The town is flat, fertile soil, pleasant climate, 247 provincial road north-south through the territory, Debin high-speed east-west, transportation is very convenient, superior geographical location. Majia River in the north and Dehui River in the south are rich in water resources.

Historical evolution

From 1938 to 1944, the township belonged to Yangxin County. After liberation in 1944, it was designated as Dawang Township in seven districts of Leling. In 1958, after the people's commune, it was designated as Yang'an Town commune (when Shang and Lebe counties were merged). In 1960, it was changed into Tieying people's commune, and the commune was located in Tieying. In 1961, due to the flood and convenient transportation, the commune moved to Xinglong Town (now the Township resident). At that time, the great commune included the northeast of zhaitoupu township (more than 10 villages), 1965 In 1984, the small commune designated the northeast of zhaitoupu. After the system reform in 1984, it was renamed Tieying Township People's government. In December 1988, it was renamed Tieying Township People's Government of Leling City. Now it is Tieying town.
