Xinshao town

Xinshao Town, subordinate to Zhenjiang District, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northeast of Zhenjiang District. It is adjacent to Datang Town, Qujiang District in the East, Shaoyao road in the south, Donghe street in the West and Daqiao Town, Renhua county in the north, covering an area of 106 square kilometers.

In 1958, Xinshao commune was established. In 1993, Saxiang set up a town. At the end of 2018, the registered residence of new Shao town was 22800. As of June 2020, Xinshao town has jurisdiction over 2 communities and 12 administrative villages. The town people's government is located at No. 31, South Qiming road.

In 2018, there were 49 industrial enterprises in Xinshao town.

Historical evolution

In 1958, Xinshao commune was established.

In 1972, Xinshao people's commune was established.

In June 1975, Xinshao people's commune was divided into Xinshao people's Commune and Furong people's commune.

In 1978, Xinshao people's commune was further divided into Xinshao and Dongjiao people's communes.

In 1982, Shao district was reformed.

In 1984, it was changed to Xinshao street.

In 1986, it merged with Dongjiao street to form Xinshao township.
