Luogang town

Luogang town is located in the northwest of Ningling County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province, adjacent to Sui County in the South and Minquan County in the north. It covers an area of 105.9 square kilometers (in 2017), accounting for 1 / 7 of the total area of Ningling county. It has 80000 Mu arable land, 31 administrative villages, 98 natural villages, 229 villager groups, and a total population of 39985 people (in 2017). It is the main producing area of Ningling "three treasures" (peanut, pear and Fraxinus). Along the 310 National Highway, an industrial development belt has been gradually formed, with welding rod production, color printing, animal husbandry, seed breeding and wood processing as the leading industries.

Historical evolution

Luogang in the Ming Dynasty is Zhonghe Township, for the four fields. After 1912, there were five districts in the county. Luogang belonged to Northwest District, which was luogangji. In 1945, the county set up 3 districts and 12 townships, Luogang township. In January 1946, the abandoned area was divided into two townships and two towns, and Luogang was still a township. In 1982, Jinxiang people's commune was abolished, and the original three administrative villages of cuixiangwu, changxiaozhuang and Wuyuan were re assigned to Luogang people's commune.
