Donghe Street

Donghe street, belonging to Zhenjiang District, Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, is located in the east of Zhenjiang District, bordering Xinshao town and Shaofeng road in the East, Nanshao intersection of Shaoguan railway station in the south, Zhenjiang River in the West and Huangjin village of Xinshao town in the north, with an area of 4.2 square kilometers.

Before its establishment, Donghe street was under the jurisdiction of Qujiang County and Shaoguan City. In 2004, Donghe street belongs to Zhenjiang District. As of 2016, Donghe street had 29 thousand and 200 registered residence population, 27 thousand and 400 permanent residents and 2064 floating population. As of June 2020, Donghe street has six communities under its jurisdiction. The sub district office is located in the west of the intersection of Fengcai road and Qiming North Road.

History of construction

Before its establishment, Donghe street was under the jurisdiction of Qujiang County and Shaoguan City.

In 1928, it belonged to the Second District of Qujiang County.

In 1941, it belonged to Dongxiang Township, the first district.

After the establishment of Shaoguan Municipal People's Government on November 25, 1949, the area of Donghe street was under the jurisdiction of Shaoguan City.

In 1952, it belongs to Donghe sub district office.

In 1956, it was incorporated into Taiping sub district office.

On November 8, 1969, Donghe District sub district committee was established.

In November 1975, it was merged with the southern suburb into Zhenjiang District.

In November 1984, Donghe Office of Zhenjiang District People's government was established.

In 2004, Donghe street belongs to Zhenjiang District.
