Guitang town

Guitang town is located 96 kilometers south of Longshan County, Hunan Province, adjacent to Jiaba Township and zanguo Township in the East, Chongqing City in the south, Chongqing city and Hubei Province in the west, and Zhaoshi town in the north. 20389 (2017). The total area is 203.22 square kilometers (2017), with 598 hectares of paddy fields and 193 hectares of dry soil. It is the highway fortress of Longli (Longshan to Liye) and Longyou (Longshan to Chongqing Youyang).

Historical evolution

Guitang town is located 96 kilometers south of Longshan County, adjacent to Jiaba Township and zanguo Township in the East, Chongqing City in the south, Chongqing city and Hubei Province in the west, and Zhaoshi town in the north. During the period of the Republic of China, it belonged to Mingxi Township No.1 Bao, three districts in 1950, laoxing commune in 1958, Guitang commune in 1961, Guitang commune in 1984 and Guitang town in 1995.
