Wanping town is located in the north of Yongshun County, Xiangxi Autonomous Prefecture, Hunan Province, 47 kilometers away from the county seat, adjacent to the town of Tawo. The territory is flat and fertile, with an average altitude of 550 meters. It has a humid climate in the Middle Subtropical Mountainous Area. The annual average temperature is 16.3 ℃, the annual rainfall is 1400 mm, and the frost free period is 276 days.
