Daxiongshan state owned Forest Farm
Daxiongshan National Forest Farm is located in the northwest of Xinhua County (Loudi City, Hunan Province), which belongs to the middle mountain landform in the north section of Xuefeng mountain range. In 2001, it completed the reporting work of National Forest Park (Daxiongshan National Forest Park).
Basic overview
The highest altitude is 1622m, the lowest altitude is 270m, and the slope is between 10 and 65 degrees. The main parent rock is slate shale, and the soil is mainly mountain yellow soil developed from slate. It belongs to subtropical monsoon humid climate zone, with annual average temperature of 14 ℃, annual precipitation of 1560 mm and frost free period of 220 days. Daxiongshan state-owned forest farm was established in 1958, approved as a provincial forest park in 1992, and completed the reporting work of National Forest Park (Daxiongshan National Forest Park) in 2001.
Species distribution
Daxiongshan state-owned forest farm is rich in forest and diverse in species. According to the investigation, there are more than 650 species of woody plants, 47 species of rare and endangered tree species under state protection, including Taxus chinensis var. mairei, cypress and xiangguoshu, and 27 species of precious wild animals, including pheasant, Caragana, owl, clouded leopard, baby fish and leopard.

Daxiongshan state owned forest farm has five village committees: Dali Village, Chiyou village, Xixi village, gaofenghu village and Jinlong Village. The total population is 4646 and the staff is 2248.
Resource economy
Daxiongshan state-owned forest farm has a state-owned management area of 11434500 mu, a forest land of 111800 mu, and a designated ecological public welfare forest of 9696900 mu, including 8000 mu at the national level and 88969 Mu at the provincial level. It has a forest stock of 380000 cubic meters and 1.49 million Phyllostachys pubescens. The volume of commercial forest is 20000 cubic meters, and that of ecological public welfare forest is 360000 cubic meters. The forest types are mainly fir plantation and evergreen broad-leaved forest, and the forest farms are classified as ecological public welfare forest farms mainly for protection. In 2006, 349 mu of afforestation and 3236 mu of young forest tending were completed, with a total economic income of 500000 yuan.
