Jindong town

Jindong is located in the hinterland of Jindong District, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province, 60 kilometers away from the city center. It is adjacent to shangsiyuan Township in the East, xiaojindong Township in the south, baiguoshi Township and Fenghuang Township in the west, Bajiao village and Babao town in the north. The town government is stationed in shanggongxing neighborhood committee, which has jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees, namely Gongxing, shanggongxing and Heping, and eight villages, namely matikou, matiyuan, baipaohui, farmer, XiaGu, Yousheng, nanmuao and zaoshuping.

Historical evolution

Located at the northern foot of Yangming Mountain range, it is the key pass from Qiyang to Ningyuan, Xintian and Guiyang. Surrounded by mountains, it has a long and narrow open field ridge. It looks like a cave in the distance, and the Baishui River flows down. Some people once panned for gold here. On both sides of the bank, there were often light yellow "gold bars" of Chinese fir to be transported, so it was named. At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to the 11th district of Ningyuan county. In 1954, it was separated out from Ningyuan county and assigned to Qiyang County as Jindong township. Jindong people's commune in 1958. In 1984, the commune was changed into a township, which was managed by Jindong forest farm, and the "farm Township Joint Operation" was implemented. In 1985, the commune was changed from a township to a town.

economic development

With a total area of 186.69 square kilometers (2017), 293.2 hectares of arable land and 18482 people (2017), the town is the political, economic, cultural and business center of Jindong forest region. It is rich in forest resources, with a forest area of 5204 hectares, a forest coverage rate of 85.4%, and a forest stock of 416000 cubic meters. It is rich in timber, Phyllostachys pubescens, tea, Litsea cubeba, palm slices, etc. There are 53 individual and private enterprises in the town, including 6 large and medium-sized bamboo and wood processing enterprises. In 2003, the town's annual GDP reached 88.06 million yuan, of which the output value of township enterprises reached 71.3 million yuan and the annual fiscal revenue was more than 500000 yuan.

Gongxing neighborhood committee

In 1985, when Jindong was changed into a town, the village committee was changed into a neighborhood committee. The neighborhood committee is located in Yanhe Road, with a total area of 3 square kilometers, 10 hectares of arable land, 132 households and 430 people. The town center primary school, Jindong state tax office, Jindong power supply office and other units are stationed in the city.

Shanggongxing neighborhood committee

In 1985, when Jindong was changed into a town, the new courtyard was separated from the original Gongxing village and shanggongxing neighborhood committee was established. The neighborhood committee is located in Yanhe Road, with a total area of 2 square kilometers, 8 hectares of arable land, 122 households and 412 people. Jindong Forest Farm Department organ, Jindong grain station, forest hospital, Jindong industrial and commercial office, Jindong Credit Union, Jindong town organ and other units are stationed in Jindong.

Heping neighborhood committee

The communization was named after peace building. When Jindong was changed into a town in 1985, the village committee was changed into a neighborhood committee. The neighborhood committee is located in Heping Road and has jurisdiction over six residential groups, covering a total area of 3 square kilometers, 19 hectares of cultivated land, 187 households and 688 people. Jindong forest middle school and other units are stationed in the city.

Horseshoe source

There is a source of a river between the mountains. It is said that a man named horseshoe monk occupied a large number of mountain forests in this mountain according to the situation, and his name was used as a place name until now. The village committee is located in Oujia and has jurisdiction over four villager groups: Shuanghekou, xiaojiayuan, Oujia and taojia. It has a total area of 1.5 square kilometers, cultivated land of 0.8 hectares, 87 households and 319 people.

Horseshoe mouth

The village is located at the entrance of Baishui River at the downstream of matiyuan River, so it is named. The village committee is located in matikou and has jurisdiction over eight villager groups: dashazhou, xiaoshazhou, yinyintai, Yinyuan, matikou, zhangchengping, yangjiachong and jiangjiachong. The total area is 1.5 square kilometers, with 8.7 hectares of arable land, 207 households and 761 people.

peasant household

At the beginning of its construction, Jindong forest farm was composed of farmers, hence its name. The village committee is located in Lvjiayuan and has jurisdiction over three villager groups: Lvjiayuan, liujiayuan and longjiayuan. With a total area of 1 square kilometer, 1.5 hectares of arable land, 52 households and 179 people.

Baipaohui

In the past, the river in the territory was turbulent, with a large number of white blisters coming out and whirling around, so it was named. The village committee is located in baipaohui, and has jurisdiction over eight villager groups: zhonglanzhu, baipaohui, xialongtian, nanchongyuan, guojiachong, wangsiyuan, Zhongxin and Zhongcheng. The total area is 3 square kilometers, with 10 hectares of arable land, 218 households and 783 people.

Yousheng

It was named dingguoyuan because of the visible mountain like dingguoyuan. In 1984, it was renamed Yousheng with the intention of promoting friendship with neighboring villages. The village committee is stationed in mazhiao, which governs three villager groups: mazhiao, maojiayuan and tangzhitou. It has a total area of 7 square kilometers, 1 hectare of cultivated land, 62 households and 232 people.

XiaGu

The village is located in the lower reaches of Shanggu River, so it is called XiaGu. The village committee is located in happy village, which governs five villager groups: red flag, happy, rising, Sanyuan and Yangjia. It has a total area of 3 square kilometers, 3.4 hectares of arable land, 100 households and 316 people.

Nanmuao

The village is located in Shanao, so it is named nanmu Ao because there are many nanmu trees. The village committee is located in the lower Li family and has jurisdiction over six villager groups, namely fangjiawan, shanglijiawan, Shangqi, Xiaqi and gutiting. It has a total area of 2 square kilometers, 14 hectares of arable land, 141 households and 541 people.

Zaoshuping

On a flat land where the village committee was stationed, there used to be many sour jujube trees. The village committee is located in dengjialing and has jurisdiction over eight villager groups, namely Zhengjiawan, zaoshuping, fengjiayuan, Banbianjie, Chenjiawan, dengjialing, xikouyuan and shidongyuan. The total area is 7 square kilometers, 15 hectares of arable land, 171 households, 576 people.
