Changjiao town

Changjiao Town, belonging to Nanxian County, Yiyang City, Hunan Province, is located in the southwest of Nanxian County, surrounded by water on three sides and shaped like a peninsula. The newly built Maocaojie Bridge connects Xiachaishi Township, Sanchahe Township, Maocaojie town and Nanzui town of Yuanjiang across the river. On the other side of Lishui River, it borders ande township of Anxiang county and Yougang town of Hanshou County, and Wushenggong town in the north.

Historical evolution

Before liberation, changjiao town belonged to Zuoxin township of Hanshou County. In April 1955, changjiao was under the management of Nanxian county and merged with wusheng palace to form xin8 District of Nanxian county. In 1956, changjiao township was established independently. In September 1958, changjiao township was merged with wusheng palace to form Nanhong commune. In January 1961, changjiao commune was separated from wusheng palace to form changjiao commune. In March 1984, changjiao commune was renamed township. In May 1989, changjiao commune was merged with wusheng palace to form changjiao commune

Changjiao town has jurisdiction over 23 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, with a total area of 68.49 square kilometers (2017), a cultivated area of 54000 Mu and a total population of 34036 (2017). Most of the residents are Han nationality. Changjiao town is located in the "land of fish and rice", agriculture has always been dominant in the national economy. Grain, cotton, sesame oil has always been the leading agricultural product of the town. At present, the grain area of the whole town is basically stable at about 20000 mu, including 8000 mu of double cropping rice, 12000 mu of middle season rice, with an annual output of 14000 tons of grain; 10000 mu of cotton, with an annual output of 16000 tons of lint; 7000 mu of ramie, with an annual output of 1800 tons of ramie; 22000 mu of rape, with an annual output of 3300 tons of rapeseed. In recent years, in order to adapt to the development of market economy, the town Party committee and government have adjusted the agricultural industrial structure, vigorously promoted high-quality varieties, developed disaster avoidance agriculture, ecological agriculture and high-efficiency agriculture according to the basic idea of "stabilizing grain and cotton, expanding economic production, re processing, living circulation, and attacking breeding", so as to double the agricultural production efficiency. In recent years, a total of 1500 mu of Low-yield and low-lying fields have been transformed, including 1000 mu of returning farmland to Lake and 500 mu of planting Xianglian and other aquatic crops. it has established a modern ecological agriculture circle with Huateng agricultural science and Technology Park and Yangliuhu Lake as the leader, covering an area of 800 mu. It has developed more than 10 high-efficiency agricultural production demonstration sites, including Hanxing Jiuhua base, Jianan guomu base, Defu ternary hybrid pig base, Quancheng crisp peach base, Tongxi fish mussel polyculture base, Xifu precious fish base, etc. At the same time, highlight the development of pearl mussel breeding and high-quality cattle and sheep production as the focus of aquatic animal husbandry. The water surface of fish mussel polyculture in the town has expanded to 2500 mu, and a pearl mussel breeding system has been built with the town fishing ground and Tongxi village as the center, radiating the whole town.

Changjiao is located at the boundary of the four counties, surrounded by water on three sides, with water transportation extending in all directions. It is close to the Yangtze River with four rivers, and close to Songli river with Huayue mountain. The middle branch of Ouchi River and Songli flood road can be navigable all the year round. The special geographical environment brings prosperity of water transportation. At present, there are 4 large and small cargo terminals and 6 large and small ferry terminals in the town, with an annual cargo throughput of 55000 tons. More than 60% of the cargo transportation in the town is realized by waterway. In addition to water transportation, highway transportation is also relatively developed. County Road Hexi highway runs through the whole town, with a total length of 25 kilometers and a road width of 6 meters. It is the main traffic trunk connecting changjiao County, Yiyang, Changsha and other places. The pavement of 5 km road in Linji town district was hardened in 1996. town road guide road, wide and flat, can carry heavy transport vehicles, and is directly connected with Xiaojiawan industrial zone. Village roads also extend in all directions. Most of the village roads are gravel roads. Whether it is sunny or rainy, it is convenient for vehicles and pedestrians to get in and out. The whole road network takes market towns as the center, connecting each administrative village inside, connecting neighboring towns and surrounding counties outside, and reaching Changde, Yiyang, Changsha and other cities directly.

Maocaojie Bridge

It was officially opened to traffic on December 26, 2006, and the natural moat became a reality. The traffic exit in the south of our town was unblocked. From then on, the history of communication with the outside world by ferry ended.
