Alagou Township

Alagou Township, belonging to Hejing County, Bayinguoleng Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located in the northeast of Hejing County, the hinterland of the Middle Tianshan Mountains, the small youdus basin, bordering Baluntai town in the East, harmodun town in the south, Gongnaisi town and Bayinbuluke town in the west, 174 kilometers away from Hejing County, with a total area of 1553.5 square kilometers.

In September 1958, Alagou Township became Bayi commune; in October 1987, it was changed from a township under the jurisdiction of bacangtai district to a township directly under Hejing county. By the end of 2018, the population of alargo Township registered residence was 1523. In 2019, Alagou village governs three administrative villages: Alagou village, xiaerga village and wulastaichahan village. The people's government is stationed in Alagou village.

History of construction

In September 1958, Bayi commune was established.

In November 1964, Bayi commune was renamed Alagou commune.

In November 1984, Alagou commune was transformed into ALAGOU township.
