The area is 204.78 square kilometers. In 2018, 13272 people registered residence.

In June 2020, Huazhuang town governs 2 communities and 9 administrative villages: Huazhuang community, baitulu community, Wangjiazhuang village, Dongzi village, Liujia village, qingtupo village, Beishan village, HEZUI village, sujiasi village, Huazhuang village and Huangxing village. The town people's government is located in baitulu community.

The Lanzhou Qingdao railway is 15.5 km long, with Huazhuang and Dongzi stations. Beijing Tibet expressway is 15 kilometers long, with two-way six lanes and one exit from Huazhuang, leading to Honggu District; 109 National Road is 16.3 kilometers long, with two-way four lanes.
