Dangdian town is located in the southeast of Shangcai County, Henan Province. Shanghe highway < I > (x005 County Road) < / I > passes through the town. There are 19 administrative villages and 278 villager groups in the town, with a total population of 33992 (in 2017), and 69000 mu of cultivated land.

Agricultural development is unique, with wheat based grain production base, rape, sesame, soybean based oil production base, flowers and trees based cash crop production base, with grain to economic ratio of 5:5.
