Biangang town

Biangang town is located 12 kilometers southeast of Fugou County, Zhoukou City, in the East Henan Plain, the hinterland of Yellow River flooding area, bordering Taikang County in the East and Xihua county in the southeast. The town covers an area of 82.31 square kilometers and has a population of 36000.

Evolution of organizational system

Biangang town has a long history and simple folk customs. It is said that it was called funeral Wanggang in ancient times and later evolved into Biangang. Biangang district was established in 1949, the people's commune was changed in 1958, and Biangang township was renamed in 1983. In 1999, with the approval of the people's Government of Henan Province, the township was removed to build a town.

In the long run, vegetable production based on solar greenhouse is still a pillar industry of rural economic development in Biangang.
