Minggang street is located 13 kilometers southeast of Tanghe County, where the people's government and village committee of Minggang township are stationed. In the early Ming Dynasty, Min's surname moved to Jiancun village from Hongdong County, Shanxi Province. The village was located on huangtougang, so it was named. Tuzhai was built in the Qing Dynasty and destroyed in the early years of the Republic of China. It belonged to fangxiangbao in Tang County in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and zhujiadianbao in Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. In 1913, it belonged to Jiyuan County, and in 1921, it belonged to Minying Township, Chengguan District. In 1923, it belonged to Tanghe County. In 1931, it belonged to the joint protection of Minying in Chengguan District. In 1947, it was gangliu District of Tangnan county. It was incorporated into Tanghe County in 1949. Mingang district was established in 1950. It was changed into Central Township in 1956. Mingang people's commune was established in 1961, belonging to shangtun district.
