Dalian Radio and TV Tower

It was built in 1987, put into use in 1990 and renamed Dalian sightseeing tower in 2004. Dalian Radio and television tower is located at the top of the green mountain in the south of the Central Labor Park. The height of the tower is 190 meters, plus the height of the mountain, with an altitude of nearly 400 meters. It is a 12 sided steel tower with space truss for the first time in the world, with novel shape and unique style. It is not only a professional launch tower (6 sets are launched and 30 sets of programs are transmitted every day), but also an "AAA" scenic spot with the first height and the best view of Dalian City Scenery (a tourist area composed of Lighthouse hall, tower and outdoor mushroom hall, its top floor can be rotated).

Construction process

Dalian Radio and television tower, located at the top of green mountain in Dalian, started construction in 1987 and was put into use in 1990.

In 2004, it was renamed Dalian sightseeing tower, and was named by Dalian Industrial and commercial department in that year.

Dalian sightseeing tower is responsible for the launch and transmission of 6 sets of TV programs and 10 sets of programs from central, provincial and municipal governments.

As a national AAA tourist attraction, Dalian sightseeing tower is also the first height and the best point of view for Chinese and foreign guests and tourists to enjoy the city scenery of Dalian. It is also an important window to show the achievements of the revitalization of Dalian's old industrial base and the construction of an international shipping center. In December 2004, Dalian municipal government decided to improve the appearance and image of Dalian sightseeing tower. The tower reconstruction project was officially started in September 2005.

After the transformation, the new wall of the podium of the sightseeing tower adopts the European style aluminum gusset plate external hanging surface, and the color is integrated with the tower body. Not only has the original Chinese restaurant, coffee shop, revolving restaurant and sightseeing hall been renovated, but the sightseeing tower has also added an open-air sightseeing platform on the roof of the third floor.

In the labor park, you can take a cable car to the Dalian sightseeing tower. In addition, new functions such as LED lighting facilities, sightseeing elevator, virtual studio and radio and television technology equipment exhibition room will be added.
