Danshui Town, located in the southeast of Xixia County, Henan Province, is located in the core area of Funiu Mountain World Geopark, known as the Dragon capital of the world and the hometown of dinosaurs in China. Nanyang city is one of the "key towns of small town construction" established in Henan Province, including "five-star market town", "health town in Henan Province", "civilized town in Henan Province" and "advanced town in building civilized town in China". The town governs 29 villages, 346 groups and 43000 people, with a total area of 198000 Mu and a market town area of 4.5 square kilometers. Basic information

Danshui has a long history. Since the Western Zhou Dynasty, the spring and Autumn period, the Warring States period, the Northern Wei Dynasty and the Western Wei Dynasty, it has been honored as the Central Plains. It was named Jutan County in the late Sui and Tang Dynasties and Neixiang County in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 1948, it belonged to Danshui District of Xixia County. In 1969, Danshui people's commune was established. In December 1983, it was renamed Danshui township. In 1986, it was withdrawn and built as Danshui town. In 1993, it was named "Zhongzhou famous town" by the Provincial Department of construction.

① Dinosaur remains

The dinosaur remains in danshuizhen belong to Cretaceous faulted basin. The eggstone layer of dinosaur egg site is the highest layer in Xiping Danshui basin. More than 1000 egg fossils have been exposed. There are at least 16 egg layers in the lower part of it. Egg fossils are classified into 13 species, 9 genera, 6 families. In particular, Danshui giant long egg and Gobi prismatic egg are rare in the world, which are the marks of Xixia egg fossils.

The dinosaur egg fossils unearthed in Xixia can be called "the best in the world" for their large quantity, variety, wide distribution, good preservation, coexistence of egg bones, long time span, coexistence of various fossils and concentrated burial. In 2005, a large number of dinosaur skeletons such as hadrosaur, ornithosaurus, protocerasaurus and carnivorosaurus were discovered, which added new content to Xixia egg fossils. It is known as the Ninth Wonder in the world after the "terracotta warriors and horses in the mausoleum of the first emperor of Qin Dynasty".

The dinosaur heritage park built in 2005 provides an ideal scientific research base for studying the evolution of the earth, the evolution of celestial bodies, catastrophes and the living habits, ecological environment and species extinction of dinosaurs, and opens up a new park for science popularization and tourism. It is mainly composed of geological science square, dinosaur egg fossil Museum, dinosaur egg ruins and simulation dinosaur park.

It is a national AAAAA scenic spot, a service standardization demonstration scenic spot, and an international youth science education base. Since its completion, it has been inspected and fully affirmed by Li Changchun, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Li Tieying, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Zhang Siqing, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and other state leaders. ② Kiwi fruit sightseeing

World Kiwi experts said: "the world kiwi in China, China kiwi in Xixia.". Yingwan kiwifruit garden is a typical kiwifruit demonstration garden in Xixia. In 2004, it was named as "pollution-free agricultural products production base of Henan Province", and in 2005, it was awarded the advanced unit of "agricultural integration of Henan Province".
