Jiefang Street

Jiefang Street (Jiefang Jiedao) is located in the north of Botou City, Cangzhou City, Hebei Province. It is located in the west of Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal and the north of Jiefang Road, with a span of 5 km from east to west and 4 km from north to south, covering an area of 20 square kilometers. At present, there are 15000 permanent residents with a population of 50502 (in 2010).

Historical evolution

Botou street was built in 1971 and Jiefang street was set up in 1983. Jiefang sub district office was established in 1983, formerly known as Jiefang sub district office group (established in 1969). It is the earliest government agency established in Botou City. In 1997, it covers an area of 5 square kilometers and has a population of 31000. It has jurisdiction over 15 neighborhood committees, namely, xiaobeimen street, Hexi street, Heping Street, Xinxing street, Anshun street, Longhua street, Jianxin street, matchshop street, Jiefang street, Guangming Street, Xinhua Street, shangxiadian street, Yandian street, chadaokou street and Meichang street. In 2002, it covers an area of 11.5 square kilometers and has a population of 34400. It has jurisdiction over 11 community neighborhood committees: Xinxing North Street, Xinxing South Street, Yuhua East Road, Yuhua Middle Road, Yuhua West Road, chadaokou street, Jianxin street, Anshun street, Heping Street, Hexi street and Longhua street. The office is located at 82 xiaobeimen.

The sub district office has a discipline inspection committee, a comprehensive management office, a leading group of the party and government office, a family planning workstation, a legal aid center, a civil affairs office, a social security office, a women's Federation, a trade union, a Ministry of armed forces, a petition office, a mediation committee, a resettlement group, and a social correction workstation.
