Houyanji Town, belonging to yuncheng county, Heze City, Shandong Province, is located in the northwest of Yuncheng County, adjacent to chengtun town and Pandu town in the East, Yuhuangmiao town in the south, Zhangluji Township in the west, Liji Township and Huangji Township in the north. The area is 105.16 square kilometers. In 2018, 74058 people registered residence.

In 1958, Houji commune was established. In 1982, it was renamed houyanji commune. In December 1983, it was changed into Houyan market town. In June 2020, Houyan town has 42 administrative villages.
