Mingzhou town

Mingzhou Town, subordinate to Weixian County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the middle of Weixian county. It is adjacent to Fangying Township in the East, dishiying Township in the south, Tangting Township in Guangzong Township in the West and Heying Township in the north. It is the residence of Weixian people's government, with a total area of 68.36 square kilometers.

In 1945, it was the seat of the Southern Hebei administrative office, the Southern Hebei District Party committee and the Southern Hebei military region; in 1988, it was renamed Mingzhou town from Chengguan town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population of the town was 75099. In 1945, it was the seat of the administrative office of Southern Hebei, the Party committee of Southern Hebei and the organs of Southern Hebei military region.

In 1949, it was the first district of Weixian county.

In 1953, Chengguan town was built, belonging to the first district of Weixian county.

In 1956, Chengguan town was changed into Chengguan Township.

In August 1958, Chengguan Township was changed into Dongfanghong commune; in November of the same year, Dongfanghong commune was changed into Weizhen commune, belonging to Nangong county.

In 1961, it belonged to Weixian county and was called Chengguan commune.

In January 1984, Chengguan commune was changed into Chengguan Township.
