Beizhang town

Beizhang town is located 21 kilometers northwest of Xinjiang county. It is connected with Zezhang town in the East and northeast. In the northwest, it borders Xiangning county with Gushe mountain and Mashou mountain in the south of Luliang Mountain. In the west, it borders Jishan county. In the south, it is connected with Sanquan town. The terrain is high in the north and low in the south. The main peak of gusheshan is 1438.4 meters above sea level, which is the highest in Xinjiang county. Beizhang township was set up in March 1956. In 1958, Xinjiang county and Houma City joined the county. It was renamed Beizhang people's commune management committee after it was set up separately in 1962. It was still called Beizhang Township in September 1984. Beizhang township was abolished in December 1995 and Beizhang town has been established ever since.
