General situation of villages and towns
Yingpanwei township is located in the southwest of Suichuan County, Ji'an City, bordering Guidong County of Hunan Province in the South and Yanling County of Hunan Province in the west, and at the junction of two provinces and three counties. According to Zeng's Genealogy: in the year of Bingchen in Xianfeng, the spring city fell, and the Marquis of the city was broad and generous. He avoided the invaders and set up a camp regiment to train troops, which was later called Yingpan. Later, a Polder was built here, so it was called yingpanwei. Before liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Dai Sheng Township, and after liberation, it was under the jurisdiction of Dafen District, known as Guankou township. In 1958, it merged with Dai Shengxiang and became Dai Sheng people's commune. In 1959, it was divided into Guankou commune. In 1969, Guan Kou and Dai Sheng merged into yingpanwei commune. In 1984, the government and society were separated and renamed yingpanwei Township People's government. The township government is located in Xiaojiawan, Yingpan village, with an altitude of 860 meters. It is the highest township government in Jiangxi Province. It is located at the junction of the two provinces and three counties, 98 km away from Suichuan County, 76 km away from Yanling County and 36 km away from Guidong County. The total land area of the township is 70.94 square kilometers, and the cultivated land area is 4670 mu. The mountain forest area of the township is 4535 hectares, with high forest coverage. The territory is rich in water resources. The township now governs 7 administrative villages, namely: Yingpan village, Tonggu village, Daxia village, Xiaoxia village, hekeng village, Meizhu village and Qiaotou village. 56 villager groups with 5108 permanent residents (2017).
