Fengxi Forest Farm

Fengxi Forest Farm reserve is located in Dapu County in the east of Guangdong Province, at the junction of Fujian and Guangdong, 54 kilometers away from the county, 123 kilometers away from Meizhou City, 73 kilometers away from Longyan City, adjacent to Yongding County, covering an area of 30.2 square kilometers. It is a Provincial Nature Reserve.

Fengxi Forest Farm reserve has overlapping mountains, beautiful scenery and pleasant climate. The temperature in summer is 24-28 ℃, and that in winter is 21 ℃. The whole mountain system belongs to Shuizhu mountain system with high terrain. The altitude is 600-1100 meters, and the slope degree is 25 ℃ - 60 ℃. It belongs to subtropical marine monsoon climate, Jianbidong, the highest peak, is 1030 meters above sea level. Generally, the mountain ranges from 600 meters to 800 meters, with a slope of 25-60 degrees. The average annual temperature is 21 ℃, the average temperature in January is 7.3 ℃, the average temperature in July is 34 ℃, the extreme low temperature is - 4.2 ℃, the extreme high temperature is 39 ℃; the average annual precipitation is 1490 mm, the precipitation from April to September accounts for 77% of the annual precipitation, and the relative humidity is 79%. The soil is red soil developed on sandstone bedrock and a few yellow soil. The soil layer is 50-100 cm thick with high fertility. There are two rivers in the area, Qili River and temporary Beixi River, flowing into Tingjiang River.

There are abundant wild plant resources in the area. There are 745 species of plants belonging to 155 families, mainly evergreen broad-leaved forest, with a forest coverage rate of 97%. There are Alsophila spinulosa, a national first-class protected wild plant, rare tree species such as sight seeing tree, Bole tree and sticky tree, endangered species belonging to national second-class protection, rare tree species such as Cinnamomum cassia and Morinda officinalis, and some rare purple trees Ornamental plants such as adzuki bean and Schima superba are all over the mountains. Chinese herbal medicine resources are also quite rich, including water lily, five finger peach, seven leaf flower, honeysuckle, bee grass, Ganoderma lucidum and so on. There are no less than 10 kinds of wild fruits, and the world-famous kiwifruit king, which is rich in vitamins, is the most popular. There are also timber species for making high-grade furniture, such as Castanopsis fissa, Castanopsis fissa and Malachite orchid.
There are abundant rare animal resources in the area. There are more than 160 kinds of animals, including leopard and clouded leopard under the second class national protection, South China tiger under the first class national protection, civet cat, monkey, Sumen antelope, python, pangolin, tiger frog, squirrel and Silver Pheasant.
The area is rich in natural tourism resources. The main scenic spots include fairy pond, Nvxing mountain, hundred meter waterfall, narrow valley wonder, ancient tree fossils, Eagle stone, Wugui stone, lion stone, primitive secondary forest landscape and bamboo forest leisure area. The planned scenic spots include rare plant viewing area (Alsophila spinulosa, sightseeing wood, sparrow flower, etc.), forest bath scenic area, ancient tree fossil scenic area, narrow valley exploration area, fairy pool scenic area, primitive secondary forest viewing area, etc.
The narrow valley exploration area and the primary secondary forest viewing area are located in qilixi in the west of Fengxi Forest Resort, where the mountains are high, the roads are steep, the rocks are jagged, the mountains are large, the ancient trees are towering in the narrow valley, the wild vines are arranged in the wrong place, the two mountains are facing each other, the hanging rocks are standing on the wall, the sky is in a line, the waterfalls are flying down, climbing up the stream, there is no danger, it is a good place for exploring and oxygen absorption. Near the top of the mountain, you can enjoy the lush, magnificent and natural scenery of the virgin forest.
The rare plant viewing area is located in the northeast of Fengxi Forest Resort. A stone path with a width of more than 1 meter connects Alsophila spinulosa, sightseeing trees, sparrow flowers, waterfalls and other viewing points with mountain streams. When you step into it, you feel at ease outside the world. If it's a summer day, it's very cool. Along the way, the mountain flowers are brilliant, the wild plants are various, and the rare species are not widespread.
