Longnan town

Longnan Town, belonging to Longnan City, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northeast of Longnan City, bordering Liren town in the East, Dongjiang Township and Dujiang town in the south, Taojiang Township in the West and longxia Township in QUANNAN County in the north. It is the seat of Longnan municipal government and the political, economic and cultural center of the city. It is 289 km away from Guangzhou, 340 km away from Shenzhen and 586 km away from Nanchang. Beijing Kowloon Railway, national highway 105, Daguang Expressway and first-class highway run through the town. It has the superior location conditions to accept the economic radiation and industrial transfer of the Pearl River Delta region.

Evolution of organizational system

It was Chengxiang town in the first district in the early days of the people's Republic of China, Longnan commune in 1958 and Longnan town in 1979.

In 1997, it covers an area of 8.5 square kilometers and has a population of 35000. It has jurisdiction over three neighborhood committees of Zhongshan street, Wenhua street and Minzhu street, and four administrative villages of Xinsheng, Jingou, Xindu and Dakeng.

Magutang town was merged in December 2000.

Jade fairy rock

Jade Xianyan is a cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level. Four kilometers away from Longnan County, Yanfeng is 307 meters above sea level. The rocks are all limestone, as bright as white jade, so it is called Jade rock. There is a cave named yuxu cave, which can accommodate hundreds of people. There is a circular gap on the top of the cave, and the light sinks into it like a jade mirror hanging in the air. There are various kinds of stone bells and stalagmites in the cave. There is a well in the cave, called Longjing, which is unfathomable. Tourists try to put in bran, and then see bran out of Taojiang Longtou beach, more than 20 miles away from the rock. On the wall of the cave, there are 43 stone carvings written by Wang Shouren, the imperial censor of the Ming Dynasty. They are precious historical relics.

Shixia mountain

It is located in Huilong village, 8 km east by north of aiqiaotou, Longnan Town, with san'ao tea farm in the East, Shiren village in the west, keshuxia village in the South and shezishengdong in the north, covering an area of 1 square kilometer. The main peak is 502 meters above sea level. The mountain trend is east-west. The vegetation is pine and fir. Originally, an nunnery was built on the hillside, named Ciyun mountain. There are two mountains, a stream in the middle, and a gorge made of stone, so it is called Shixia mountain.

Xiananmen ancient city building

It is located in the south by west of the county. Its original name is xiangmingmen, but people in the county always call it xiananmen, which is named according to its location. It was built in the ninth year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1636); it was destroyed in the war in the fifth year of Shunzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1648); it was rebuilt in the seventh year of Shunzhi, which has a history of more than 360 years. The gate is arched with an inner space of nearly 4 meters high and more than 2 meters wide. The wall is 8 meters high and 7 meters thick. The city walls were built with wooden beams. The clear height of the tower is 8 meters. It has two floors and is covered with grey tiles. It looks like a double-layer building. In fact, it is an overhead Pavilion in the middle. At the four corners of the two-story sky, there are cornices, some of which are soaring, and some of which are like Phoenix tails rolling up. Although it was built in the early Qing Dynasty, because it was rebuilt according to the original specifications, it looks like a typical wooden frame structure of the Ming Dynasty.

Venta

It is located on the top of Wugong Mountain at the junction of Jingou village of Longnan town and Matouling of Dujiang Township, on the east side of Taojiang and Longxiao highway, 2km away from the county seat. It was built in the late Qing Dynasty. The tower is divided into three layers. The first and second layers are hexagonal, and the third layer is conical. The word "Wenta" is engraved on the brick of the tower. In addition, the tip of the tower is like a brush full of ink, so it is called "Wenta".

Mujiexingdi ancient tomb

It is located on the hill at the junction of Longpi and Xinyang villages in Longnan Town, 2.5km away from the county seat. The landforms of the tomb site are similar to the wooden Jieba, so it is called the ancient tomb of mujiedi. There are two tombstones in this tomb, which are separated by a flat row. It was built in December 1533 and rebuilt in July 1860. The whole tomb is made of ground stones, 10 meters in length and 6 meters in width. The gate is 1.6 meters high, with a pair of 1.5-meter-high stone pillars on both sides. On the left and right sides of the two tombstones and on both sides of the waitang, there are decorative relief stone tablets, engraved with flowers, dragons and horses, unicorns, patterns, etc., which are vivid and lifelike.

Yanyuanwei

Located in Hongyan village, Longnan town. In July 1932, the 11th division of the Fourth Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army took part in the battle of Shuikou in Nanxiong and passed by Longnan when they returned to Gannan for a rest. During this period, the Red Army publicized and mobilized the masses to carry out revolutionary activities and wrote slogans everywhere. The slogans and songs written by the youth workers of the 31st regiment of the division on the outer wall of the Yan Yuan Wai wall are still clearly recognizable despite the vicissitudes of time. On the outer wall of the wall are written "ten platforms of the Communist Party", "ten crimes of the Kuomintang" and "March Song of the Red Army". There are 15 slogans on a white wall in the west yard of yanyuanwei, which were also painted by the youth workers of the 31st regiment of the 11th division of the Fourth Army of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army in 1932.

Old site of Longnan guidance Station

It is located in Laiwu, the ancestral temple of the land at the lower west gate of Wenhua street in the county. From May 1941 to December 1942, "Longnan guidance Station of Southeast Regional Office of China Industrial Cooperation Association" worked here.
