Sanjiaoxiang

Sanjiaoxiang, located in the southeast of Yongxiu County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is in the eastern suburb of the county. Historical evolution

The place name of sanjiaoxiang originates from the meaning that the terrain is triangle. Triangle polder was first built in Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. 48 polders such as LuoTan and Guojia were combined to form a triangle polder. It has been more than 300 years. Before liberation, it belonged to Sanjiao Township in Yiqu district. At the beginning of liberation, it was the tenth Township in Tubu district. In 1957, it belonged to Sanjiao Township in Chunhu district. In 1958, it belonged to Hongqi commune. In 1959, it merged with Jiuhe, aicheng, Lixin, Yongxing and Tubu to form Tubu commune. In 1960, it separated from Yongxing and Jiuhe to form Sanjiao commune. In 1968, it merged with Jiuhe to form Chunhu commune. In 1972, it was separated from Chunhu commune to form Sanjiao commune. In 1984, sanjiaoxiang was restored.
