Cuogao Township
Gongbujiangda County, Nyingchi City, Tibet governs the township and five village committees, including cuojiu village, Zara village, cuogao village, Jieba village and Luochi village. The township government is stationed in cuojiu village.
It is located in the northeast of gongbujiangda County, Linzhi City, Tibet, 100 kilometers away from the county. The average altitude is 3500 meters.
In November 2016, there were 498 households and 2312 people in the township, all of whom were Tibetans.
Covering an area of 1674.58 square kilometers, the township is one of the main forest areas in gongbujiangda county with rich tourism resources.
The main income comes from agriculture and animal husbandry, transportation, collection, labor export, service industry, characteristic industry and tourism.
There are some scenic spots in cuogao Township, such as basongcuo, Xincuo and zhongcuo. The most famous one is basongcuo.

In August 1959, three small townships were built in cuogao district. In September 1987, the township was changed. In 1996, it covers an area of 150 square kilometers and has a population of 2000, all of which are Tibetans. It has jurisdiction over 6 administrative villages: Zada, jiuba, maicuomu, cuoguo, stuttering and Luochi.

In November 2016, the smart tourism monitoring platform of basongcuo scenic spot in cuogao township was successfully connected to the national tourism industry operation monitoring and emergency command platform.
In 2018, the whole village relocation project of cuogao village in cuogao township will be implemented, including 57 new houses, road hardening, water supply and drainage, lighting, greening and other projects. While protecting the ancient village, the housing conditions of villagers will be improved, with an investment of more than 92 million yuan.
Ecological environment protection
In 1994, basongcuo, cuogao Township, was rated as a national scenic spot.
In 2000, basongcuo, cuogao Township, was rated as a national 4A scenic spot.
In 2001, basongcuo, cuogao Township, was awarded the title of National Forest Park by the Ministry of forestry.
In 2017, basongcuo scenic spot in cuogao Township became the first 5A level ecological and natural tourism scenic spot in Tibet Autonomous Region.

Since 2004, basongcuo has held "Gongbu folk custom tourism culture festival" every year, including material exchange meeting, art performance, stone holding competition, bonfire party, etc.
History and culture
Cuogao village in cuogao township is an ancient historical and cultural village. The houses of villagers a Wang Danzeng and sang Bu's have been built for six generations and have a history of 450 years.
Stem dance is a traditional song and dance in cuogao village, cuogao township. Its main content is to pray for a good harvest of food, to bless health and to wish family happiness.
In 2008, cuogaogeng dance was listed on the intangible cultural heritage list of Tibet Autonomous Region.

Located in cuogao Township, upstream of Bahe River, gongbujiangda County, 83 kilometers away from the county, it is a famous holy lake and holy land of the Red Cross religion. The lake is crescent shaped with a total area of 37.5 square kilometers and an average depth of more than 60 meters.
