Olympic Village Street

Olympic Village street is under the jurisdiction of Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is located in the northwest of the District, adjacent to Laiguangying district as far as Beiyuan Road in the East, Asian Games Village street and Datun street as far as the Fourth Ring Road in the south, Haidian District as far as Qinghe District and Changping District as far as the Badaling Expressway in the West. It covers an area of 19.6 square kilometers and has a permanent population of 1052.63 million (in 2010). Historical evolution

Before 1949, it belonged to Daxing County and suburban seven districts (later changed to twelve districts).

After 1949, it belonged to the fourteenth district. In 1952, it was merged into the Tenth District. Later, it was transformed into the eastern suburb. In 1958, it was merged into the Heping commune. It belonged to Chaoyang District. In 1961, it was established in Wali commune, and in 1983, it was transformed into a township.

In 1996, it covers an area of 15.6 square kilometers and has a population of 21000. It has jurisdiction over six administrative villages of Wali, wabian, Yangshan, Yangfang, longwangtang and guanxizhuang, and seven neighborhood committees of shuangquanbao, Qiyuan, agricultural machinery academy, photosensitive Institute, Yangfang, Academy of Environmental Sciences and Wali scattered residents.

In December 2002, the 147th mayor's office meeting agreed to set up a regional office in Wali township to implement the system of "one set of people and two brands". It governs four administrative villages, namely Wali, wabian, guanxizhuang and longwangtang.

With the approval of the municipal government, some areas under the jurisdiction of Datun District Office and Asian Games Village sub district office were included in Wali District Office, and the adjusted Wali District Office was renamed as Olympic Village District Office.

In April 29, 2004, the office of the valley area officially changed its name to the Olympic Village area office. The area of the area increased from 15.7 square kilometers to 18.8 square kilometers, and the registered residence population was 55 thousand.

On May 16, 2011, the Olympic Village sub district office was officially established.
