Baoen Township, Qu county, Dazhou City, Sichuan Province, is located in the northernmost part of Qu county, covering an area of 43 square kilometers with a population of 15315 (2017). The township government is located in group 1 of Anming village, 65 kilometers away from the county. It has jurisdiction over 11 villages and 61 communities, with a total cultivated land area of 28300 mu. It borders Shiti town of Dachuan District in the north. Historical evolution

Baoen township was set up in 1954, merged into Gonghe Township in 1956, and established in 1991. In 1996, it covers an area of 16 square kilometers and has a population of 8000. It governs four administrative villages, namely Qinghe, Bayi, Anmin and Xiangling. In 2004, the former Jinzhu Township and the two villages of Jinguang and Luyun in Wenchong town were merged into Baoen township.
