Luoxi Township

Luoxi township is located in the southwest of Wuning County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, 30 kilometers away from the county seat. It is adjacent to Yanyang Township in the East, Jing'an County in the south, shimenlou town in the west, Shidu Township and Xinning town in the north. With a total area of 196 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 11 administrative villages, 174 villager groups, 3582 households and 14878 people. In 2015, the total industrial and agricultural output value of the township was 73.28 million yuan, the fiscal revenue was 3.12 million yuan, and the per capita net income was 4351 yuan.

Luoxi has a pleasant climate and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature is 14.6 ℃, the lowest in January, the average is 2.6 ℃, the highest in July, the average is 26.9 ℃, the annual rainfall is 1456.5mm, and the frost free period is 240 days.
Li Liejun, the veteran of the 1911 Revolution, and Li Xikai, the female general of the contemporary PLA, were all from Luoxi. The Ye family alone had ten Jinshi in the Song Dynasty.
Luoxi township is rich in products and beautiful scenery. Luoxi rice is famous both inside and outside the province, and its agricultural and sideline products include Camellia oleifera, honeysuckle, bamboo shoots, wild medicinal materials, etc. The scenery of Zhushan, Nanshan and xianguoshan in the township is charming, especially the multi trace element mineral water and Tangli hot spring in Pinggang are more valuable for development because of their high temperature and good medicinal treatment. Mineral products include tungsten, molybdenum, porcelain clay, quartz, etc. Dahutang tungsten mine is located in the township. Luoxi is also the hometown of small hydropower stations in northern Jiangxi Province, with 21 hydropower stations in total, with an annual power generation capacity of more than 30 million kwh.

It is 30km away from Guang (Zhou) (DA) Qing expressway, and Panxi (XI) Shi (Menlou) highway runs through the whole country from north to south.
