Nandongfang town is under the jurisdiction of Linzhang County, Handan City, Hebei Province, with 18 administrative villages and 12 natural villages.
Evolution of organizational system
According to the records of Jiajing Zhangde Prefecture in the Ming Dynasty, this village was named "Dongfang" in the Northern Song Dynasty. In Qianlong years of Qing Dynasty, there were North East and little east; in Xianfeng years, there were East Square, little East Square, South East Square and North East Square. Guangxu years for the South East Square, North East Square. Today, it is called nandongfang, beidongfang and xiaodongfang.

Nandongfang Village: it is said that during the reign of emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, the Yang family general fought against empress dowager Xiao of the northern Liao state. There was a military accounting room here. Because the village was in the south, it was called the South accounting room. With the development of history and the change of characters, it gradually evolved into nandongfang. Nandongfang is now divided into four administrative villages: nandongfang No.1 village, nandongfang No.2 village, nandongfang No.3 village and nandongfang No.4 village.
Nangang Village: according to the records of Jiajing Zhangde Prefecture in the Ming Dynasty, this village was named Nangang in the Northern Song Dynasty. According to the investigation, there is a gang in the south of the village, so it is called Gang village. In the 18th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the Zhanghe River was flooded, and Yuangang village was destroyed. Later, the villagers whose surname was Niu moved and built a new village, named niujiagang village. Later, it was renamed Nangang village. Nangang village now includes two administrative villages, Nangang No.1 village and Nangang No.2 village.
Three villages: three villages have a long history, as early as the Northern Song Dynasty has formed a village. According to the records of Jiajing Zhangde mansion in Ming Dynasty, it was called Jianzhong in Northern Song Dynasty. In Zhengde year of Ming Dynasty, Jianzhong ferry was built. In the year of Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, it was Sanchong village, in the year of Xianfeng, it was Sanchong village, and in the year of Guangxu, it was sanpang village. According to the investigation, during the reign of emperor Zhenzong of the Northern Song Dynasty, there were three tombs in the southwest of the village, so it was named Sanzhong village. After the historical evolution, also known as three favorite village, later simplified to three villages. Shi Pu, the Minister of the Ministry of war in the Ming Dynasty, was a native of the three favorite villages. The three villages are divided into three administrative villages: West Village, East Village and middle village.
Sanzhuang: according to the records of Zhangde Prefecture of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, there was Xiaozhuang village. Xianfeng year for the former village, after the village, Guangxu year for the village, West Village, after the village. Today, they are the former, the latter and the Chen. According to the investigation, in the 18th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the Zhanghe River was flooded, the original village was destroyed, and the villagers moved out. The village was divided into three parts. The villagers with the main surname Guo moved to the west of the original village and settled down. They named it guojiaxiaozhuang. Later, they named it xixiaozhuang by direction. On March 2, 1982, it was changed into qianxiaozhuang. Another part of the villagers moved to the north of the original village to settle down, named houxiaozhuang. Most of the villagers with the surname of Chen moved to the east of the original village and settled down in the village.
Xiaodongfang Village: it is said that during the reign of emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, the Yang family would fight with empress dowager Xiao of the northern Liao state, and once built a small military accounting house in the village, called xiaozhangfang. With the development of history and the change of pronunciation, it has evolved into xiaodongfang.
Beitou Village: it is said that during the reign of emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, the Song Dynasty was at war with the northern Liao state. Emperor Zhenzong came to supervise the war before the battle and lived in this village, so he named it yujiadian. In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, the number of officials in this village was the first, and this village was located in Chengbei road of the old county, so it was renamed Beitou village from yujiadian. It was called xiaobeitou in Qianlong of Qing Dynasty and Beitou village in Xianfeng of Qing Dynasty.
Yangjiapu Village: according to the records of Jiajing Zhangde Prefecture in Ming Dynasty, this village was called Yangjia in Northern Song Dynasty, which was still called Yangjia in Ming Dynasty. It was Yangjiapu in Qianlong of Qing Dynasty and Yangjiapu in Xianfeng of Qing Dynasty. The name of the village is still used today. It is said that during the reign of emperor Zhenzong of the Song Dynasty, the general of the Yang family fought against empress dowager Xiao of the northern Liao state. The general of the Yang family was stationed here, so it was named Yangjiapu.
Ligang Village: in the 18th year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, the Zhanghe River flooded and destroyed the original village. Later, the villagers with the surname Li moved to the South and built a new village. The village was named lijiagang village, which was simplified to Ligang village.
Zhang Xiutun Village: according to the records of Jiajing Zhangde Prefecture in Ming Dynasty, there was a southern chapter of Qiu in Northern Song Dynasty. It was zhangqiutun in Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, zhangxiutun in Xianfeng of Qing Dynasty, and it is still in Guangxu of Qing Dynasty. In the late Yuan Dynasty, wars were frequent and villages were seriously damaged. The village's surname Zhang hid in the tunnel and was not killed. He rebuilt his home, so his name was Zhang Xiutun.
Wuxue Village: according to the records of Jiajing Zhangde Prefecture in Ming Dynasty, it was five effects in Northern Song Dynasty. It was Wuxue village in Qianlong, and Wuxue village in Xianfeng. In the early Ming Dynasty, there was a martial arts room in the village to practice martial arts, so it was called martial arts.
