Jingkou Township

Jingkou Township belongs to Nanchang County, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is located in the north east of Nanchang County, with Youlan town in the south, Tangnan town in the West and sanyangji rural River in Jinxian County in the East. The township government is 29.5 kilometers away from Bayi Square in the center of Nanchang. The largest grain producing Township in the province. Changwan highway passes through the border.

Historical evolution

Originally under the jurisdiction of Jinxian County, Jiangxi Province, it was transferred to Nanchang County in 1957. Xianfeng commune was established in 1958, Jingkou commune was established in 1968, and township was changed in 1984. In 1997, it had jurisdiction over the neighborhood committee of Jingkou street and 18 administrative villages including Shuige, Dapu, Dasha, Shahu, Yangfang, Gangbei, Jingkou, houfang, Niwan, Kangzhuang, Xiaolian, Donggang, Beihu, Yuanmen, Beishan, Donghu, Shantou and Donglian. The township government is located in Jingkou street, 30km away from the urban center and 24km away from Liantang. On November 15, 2001, five administrative villages, including Chuangye village in Xinlian Township, were assigned to Jingkou township (GaN min Zi No. 520 reply).
