Changling town

Changqiu town is located in the northwest suburb of Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It is a New District Chengguan town and the seat of the new district government. Wangcheng town in the west, Nanchang Economic and Technological Development Zone (national level) in the north, and Honggutan District in the southeast.

Changling town covers an area of 24 square kilometers and has a population of 250344 (2017). Under the jurisdiction of Huaguoshan, culture and education, Jianshe Road and other 12 communities, 3 administrative villages, 2 agricultural (Forestry) farms, there are 17 natural villages.

Chang Zhang expressway, Chang Jiu Expressway and 320 national highway cross the town.

Evolution of organizational system

In 1960, Changling town was established. In 1997, it covers an area of 32 square kilometers and has a population of 51000. It has jurisdiction over four administrative villages of Weidong, Libu, Changling and Qianjin, and 10 communities of Daqiao, Donghu, Changzheng, Xinghua, Lixin, Jianshe, Huaguoshan, Dadao, Shajing and reform through labor bureau. On November 15, 2001, Beijiao township was abolished and put under the jurisdiction of Changling town (reply No. 520 of ganmin Zi).

It is adjacent to national highway 320 in the south. Nanchang farm was established in 1957 and renamed as Beijiao forest farm in 1964. In 1968, it was merged with Yingxi reclamation farm to form county forest farm. It was renamed in November 1971 and renamed Beijiao Township in 1984. In 1997, it covers an area of 3.8 square kilometers and has a population of 9000. It has jurisdiction over animal husbandry, agriculture and forestry. In 2001, Beijiao township was abolished and transferred to Changqiu town.
