Fenghuang Street

Fenghuang street is the administrative street under the jurisdiction of Tianhe District, located in the northeast of Tianhe District. Scope: Baiyun District in the East and North, Changxing street and Xintang street in the south, Longdong street in the West. It has a total area of 22.998 square kilometers and a population of 19534 (2010). There are two village committees and four neighborhood committees. The sub district office is located in the middle of Huamei road.

Fenghuang street was built on December 31, 2002. It was established by yushatan village and kemuliang village in the former Shahe Town of Tianhe District. It is named after Fenghuang mountain. Fenghuang street is located in the northernmost part of Tianhe District. It starts from Fangwu village of Guangshan highway in the East, and is adjacent to Lianhe village of Luogang district. In the south, it reaches the provincial breeding farm, which is connected with Xintang street. In the west, it reaches Huangwu village, which is connected with Longdong street. In the north, it reaches shaujiwo, which is adjacent to Taihe Town of Baiyun District.

There are four community neighborhood committees and two village restructuring companies in the street: yushatan, Fenghuang, Kemu long, gaotangshi community neighborhood committee, yushatan Shengda Economic Development Co., Ltd. and Kemu long economic development Co., Ltd. The street covers an area of 23 square kilometers. The total population was 19534 (2010).

In 2012, there were four large markets under the jurisdiction of the street, including Guangdong livestock trading market, kemulung farmers' market and yushatan comprehensive market. Fenghuang street was established in December 2002, which is composed of Kemu long and yushatan areas of Shahe Town. Fenghuang street is one of the best protected areas of natural environment in Guangzhou. There are beautiful shajiwo reservoir, Fenghuangshan Forest Park, huolushan Forest Park and Shadong new village as a model of sustainable development. Hakka culture

Fenghuang sub district office was established on December 31, 2002. Its two natural villages, yushatan village and kemuliang village, are one of the most concentrated areas of Hakka families in Guangzhou. 99% of the residents in the district are Hakkas, which can be said to be the purest Hakka settlement in Guangzhou.

In July 2003, in the first art performance of Guangzhou Street and Town Cultural Center (station), Fenghuang Street formed a Hakka folk song chorus to sing the new Hakka folk song "Fenghuang mountain folk song, heart folk song into a river" and won the gold medal and Creation Award. There are five fixed "GeXu" sites in Fenghuang area every month, including "cultural activity center", "yushatan market", "Kemu Long Park", "yinpailing Park" and "Huolu Mountain Park". About 100 people participate in the "Song fair" every time. Every year, the folk song "Song fair" closely related to the situation is held, such as "reform and opening up, singing new songs, emancipating the mind, composing new chapters", "Hakka folk songs praising honesty", "singing civilization, welcoming the Asian Games" and so on. Eight books of Hakka folk songs are also published.

Fenghuang street cultural station was established in December 2002. In 2007, it was rated as a provincial special cultural station by Guangdong Provincial Department of culture.
