Yongding District

Yongding is a town (area) under the jurisdiction of Mentougou District, Beijing. It is located in the southeast of the District, 3km away from the district government and 24km away from the city center. By the end of 2017, it had a total area of 6548 hectares and a population of 51676. It has jurisdiction over seven communities in South District, North District, Yongxing District, Yong'an District, Pudong District, Xinyuan district and Fengcun Jiayuan district, and 24 communities in Shangan, qiaohuying, caogezhuang, Fengcun village, Aiwa, wanfotang, Hegezhuang, Shichang, keluotuo, Wangcun, shimenying, Xiaoyuan, liyuanzhuang, WoLonggang, xixincheng, dongxincheng, baizhuangzi, sidaoqiao, bafangzi, houzhuangzi, Guishi, Weixing team, qiupo and Shifo Political village. The town government is located at 11 Shilong South Road.

It is located at the foot of Ma'anshan, surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing water on one side. It has a temperate continental monsoon climate with an average annual rainfall of about 600mm and a frost free period of about 200 days. The reserves of slate, limestone, shale and lime are large. Historical evolution

Before liberation, it belonged to Jingxi township of Wanping county and liyuanzhuang township of the Sixth District of pseudo Wanping county. The first liberation belonged to the seventh district of Wanping county. After the second liberation, it belonged to Mentougou District of Beiping, the 28th District of Beijing and the 16th district of Beijing. In 1958, Yongding agricultural production cooperative was incorporated into Mentougou commune, and Yongding commune was renamed the shore brigade. In July 1961, the former landing brigade formed Yongding commune in Mentougou District. In December 1983, it was changed to Yongding township. It was changed into Yongding town in March 1990. In 1996, it covers an area of 39.6 square kilometers and has a population of 15000. It governs 24 administrative villages, including Shangan, qiaohuying, caogezhuang, Fengcun, Aiwa, wanfotang, Hegezhuang, Shichang, keluotuo, qiupo, Shifo, Wangcun, shimenying, Xiaoyuan, liyuanzhuang, WoLonggang, xixingcheng, dongxincheng, baizhuangzi, sidaoqiao, bazhangzi, houzhuangzi, Guishi, Weixing team, and Fengcun, Shangan 2 There are two neighborhood committees.
