Youping township government is located 25 kilometers to the north of Leye County, adjacent to Luoxi Township and Mazhuang village in the East. It is adjacent to Tongle town in the south, Huaping Township in the West and Wangmo and Luodian in Guizhou Province across the Hongshui River in the north. It is between 1062340-3755 E and 244630-250120 n.

In July 2020, it won the honorary title of national health Township from 2017 to 2019.

It is adjacent to Tongle town in the south, Huaping Township in the West and Wangmo and Luodian in Guizhou Province across the Hongshui River in the north. It is between 1062340-3755 E and 244630-250120 n. It was called Youlang Township before liberation and Youping District, township and commune after liberation. It is the third largest township in Leye County, with 11 villager committees and 133 villager groups. There are three nationalities, Zhuang, Han and Yao, and Zhuang accounts for 60% of the total population.

There are many earth mountains in the township, including Shangli River and Bailang River, the largest underground river in the county. The famous Bailang Grand Canyon is located in bailangtun of the township. The construction of Longtan hydropower station makes the reservoir area of this place more pleasant and a good place for people to take a vacation. The main cash crops are sugarcane, banana, plantain, Canna taro, etc., as well as Tung fruit, Auricularia auricula and Lentinus edodes.
