Xiufeng Township

Xiufeng township is located in the northwest of Pinghe County, at the junction of Fujian Province and Guangdong Province. It borders Yongding District of Longyan City in the northwest, Luxi town in the north and Jiufeng, Qiling, Changle and Guangdong Dapu in the East. The township has 10 administrative villages, 110 villager groups and 69 natural villages.

In 2017, the administrative area was 8742 hectares, with 13485 permanent residents.

Xiufeng township has a beautiful environment, beautiful mountains and rivers, with an average annual rainfall of 1681 mm and an average annual temperature of 19.3 ℃. It has four distinct seasons, abundant sunshine and pleasant climate. The whole township is mainly mountainous, with mild climate and fertile soil. It has broad prospects for the development of forestry and ecological agriculture. It has a unique alpine climate, suitable for the development of Camellia and off-season vegetables.

The territory is rich in water resources. The tributaries of Hanjiang river run through the territory. There are two reservoirs, liangba and ante, with clear water quality and great potential for efficient ecological aquaculture.

The township covers an area of 90 square kilometers. It is mountainous and has five rivers. The main river is Hanjiang River, which originates from Shuangjian mountain range. It flows through five villages in the township from donghuai in Luxi to Zhangjiang River, and joins Jiufeng River in gongzhaitongling to flow into Guangdong.

There are 11 hydropower stations in the township with an installed capacity of 2.5 kW, and some hydropower resources can be developed.

It is rich in mineral resources. There are mineral resources such as chalcopyrite, kaolin and tungsten to be developed. The main mineral deposits are iron ore, porcelain mud and chalcopyrite, which have broad development prospects.

Economics

The economy of the whole township is booming, and the pace of industrial structure is speeding up. In agriculture, five major agricultural industrial patterns have been formed, which are mainly fruit, tea, bamboo, vegetable and mushroom; rice, honey pomelo, off-season vegetables, and famous tea such as Qilan, Dancong and Baxian; among them, there are 13725 mu of fruit (8000 mu of honey pomelo, 5725 mu of miscellaneous fruit), 2340 mu of tea, 3000 mu of Mazhu, 18000 mu of Sufeng forest and 60000 square of mushroom (the largest mushroom in the west of Pinghe county) Distribution center).

XiuXiu line of provincial highway passes through the territory, connecting Yongan in Longyan and Dapu in Guangdong. In recent years, three convenient roads from Xiufeng to the county have been opened one after another.
