Xida town

Xida town is located in the South East of Shexian County, Handan City, Hebei Province, adjacent to the junction of the three provinces (Hebei, Henan, Shanxi) and two counties (Cixian, Shexian). It is the economic and cultural center of the lower half of Shexian County, 25 kilometers away from the county. The total area is 94.4 square kilometers, and the cultivated area is 6825 mu.

The total number of households is 5269, and the registered residence population is 17713 (by the end of 2020). The town governs 14 administrative villages with a long history and culture. The former 129 division Arsenal was located in Xida Village (Xida Arsenal) of the town. The former Taihang five prefectural Party committee worked and fought in Xida village. The town is an agricultural town.

The traffic of the town is very convenient, and it is also an important traffic road. All the 14 villages in the town are connected with cement roads. It took six years to open the longest highway tunnel 940 meters in the county, so that more than 3000 people in kuangmengou walk out of the mountains and are no longer troubled by the barrier of Zhanghe River. The hardening of the road from Ganquan to Cixian county is also under construction.
