Baoergai farm is located in Dengkou County, which belongs to Bayannaoer Bureau of agricultural reclamation. The farm was built in 1960. In 1966, it was transformed into the second production and Construction Corps of Inner Mongolia Military Region. In 1969, it was established as the fifth regiment of the first division of Inner Mongolia production and Construction Corps of Beijing Military Region. In 1975, it was transformed into baoergai farm of Bameng agricultural reclamation. It has nine agricultural branches. It has a total area of 146000 mu, including 30000 mu of cultivated land and 20000 mu of woodland, with a total population of 3155 people (in 2010). It is a place inhabited by Mongolian, Han, Hui, Manchu and other ethnic groups.

Baoergai farm is an agricultural enterprise with agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, industry, commerce and trade. The farm's crops mainly include wheat, flower sunflower, honeydew melon and so on. It is a high-quality wheat production base, seed corn production base, oil production base, green and red pepper, melon and tomato production base. The self flow irrigation of the Yellow River and the well irrigation supporting project provide convenient conditions for timely watering of crops. the transformation project of rural power network in the farm has been completed, and the program-controlled telephone has been opened in the field department and branch fields. The farm's own road runs through all the branches.
