Liqiao town

Liqiao Town, Xuancheng City, Anhui Province is located at the junction of alluvial plain of Yangtze River Delta in the southeast of Anhui Province, adjacent to Zhejiang in the East and Nanjing in Jiangsu in the north. It is the Northeast gateway of Xuanzhou, 60km away from Nanjing Lukou International Airport, 40km away from national highway 318 and Xuancheng City. The provincial highway Xuanning passes through the town, which can reach the Yangtze River and Wutai canal directly. The water and land transportation is convenient.

In 2017, the administrative area was 22800 hectares, with a permanent population of 62677.

In October 2019, Liqiao town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019".

Since the Song Dynasty, it has become a place of famous families in northern Wan with a gathering of celebrities and Wei Kejia.
